War Commander

A Facebook-era MMO strategy game from 2011 finally arrived on Steam this July, and its first reviewers are overwhelmingly its own long-lost veterans — many disappointed by what fifteen years and a free-to-play economy have done to the game they remember.

Vanya Online - Idle MMORPG

A free browser-turned-Steam idle MMORPG whose day-one launch put brand-new players into the same PvP world as six-month veterans past level 4,000 — fixed within 24 hours by a fast, transparent developer response, but sitting alongside monetisation and design complaints that haven't gone away since.

War Commander

KIXEYE's post-apocalyptic base-building MMO strategy game, running continuously since its 2011 Facebook debut, finally arrives on Steam — met largely by returning veteran players whose reviews describe over a decade of accumulated pay-to-win pressure and unaddressed cheating that the platform switch hasn't changed.

Booming Tech's own developer FAQ promised this would not be a standalone game and would build on existing Conqueror's Blade characters. It shipped a week ago as a separate free Steam app with its own client, a gacha wall in front of core unit progression, and no siege matchmaking at launch — and 15% of roughly 1,950 Steam reviews are positive.

Shop Heroes

A free-to-play shop-management RPG that ran on Steam for six years, was Mostly Positive the whole time, and then simply stopped existing — servers shut down in 2022, delisted from sale, quietly replaced by a mobile sequel. There is no version of this game you can buy or play today.
